Overview Madagascar Senegal DR Congo Mozambique Molecular Epi

DR Congo In 2005/2006, 720 blood and tissue samples were collected on three markets receiving healthy pigs from peri–urban and rural areas. From free-range pigs there were 370 samples and from pigs coming from closed farms, there were 332 samples, 18 samples were from unknown origin. The samples are currently being tested for ASF to estimate the prevalence in the different sampling regions and to assess differences between holding systems.

Introduction to Participatory Epidemiology
